Final Fantasy VII, the series' first foray into 3D and a global sensation, was released in 2007. As the franchise transitioned to 3D graphics on the PlayStation console, the title achieved worldwide fame.

Set in the dystopian city of Midgar, the game depicts Cloud Strife and his companions fighting against the megacorporation Shinra and the iconic villain Sephiroth.

Final Fantasy VII's groundbreaking visuals, mature themes, and rich storytelling gained immense popularity among players worldwide.

With the success of Final Fantasy VII, the series established itself as a world-class franchise and became one of the greatest games of all time.

It had a tremendous impact on popular culture, leading to spin-offs, CGI films, and more recently, high-quality remakes that demonstrate its enduring popularity.

Released in 1999, Final Fantasy VIII introduced realistic character designs and focused on themes of love and personal growth.

It features a unique system where players can customize characters by equipping skills and abilities.

While Final Fantasy VIII received a mix of praise and criticism in some areas, it was also lauded for its stunning graphics, innovative systems, storylines, and memorable soundtrack.

In 2000, Final Fantasy IX, set in a medieval fantasy world, was released.

The story focuses on Zidane and his companions as they try to stop a world-ending war and uncover their origins.

It embraced traditional fantasy elements and was well-received for its diverse, charming characters and deep storyline.

Final Fantasy IX is one of the most popular titles in the series, evoking nostalgia and returning to the basics of the fantasy genre, reviving the spirit of the original games while providing a modern gaming experience.

Final Fantasy X ~ XII

Released in 2001 exclusively for the PlayStation 2, Final Fantasy X was the first in the series to introduce voice acting for characters and narration, enhancing character emotions and player immersion.

Set in the tropical world of Spira, the player follows Tidus and Yuna on an adventure to end the cycle of destruction brought by Sin.

The game introduced the "Sphere Grid" for character progression, offering a new level of customization. It received critical acclaim and was commercially successful, becoming the first Final Fantasy title to receive a direct sequel, Final Fantasy X-2.

Final Fantasy XII was released in 2006, introducing an open world and a real-time combat system through the "Gambit System."

Final Fantasy XIII ~ XV

Final Fantasy XIII was released as a trilogy from 2009 to 2014.

The story centers on Lightning as she fights to save the world from destruction, featuring a fast-paced combat system and stunning graphics.

While the first entry in this trilogy divided fans due to its linear gameplay, the subsequent second and third installments added more exploration and characters.

Despite initial mixed reviews, the trilogy demonstrated the developers' willingness to experiment with new ideas by expanding the Final Fantasy narrative.

In 2016, Final Fantasy XV was released, introducing a full open world and action-oriented combat.

The game follows the journey of discovery as Prince Noctis and his companions experience friendship, love, despair, and loss during their adventures.

Known for its beautiful graphics, immersive world, and touching story, Final Fantasy XV gained great popularity among a new generation of players and offers various content including DLCs, animated episodes, and story expansions.

The reason the franchise has been able to maintain such a large fanbase over the years is likely due to the series' continuous evolution driven by the developers' efforts.
