When starting Subnautica, there are essential tools you must craft first. To ensure a smooth gameplay experience, prioritize making the Survival Knife, Scanner, and Oxygen Tank before exploring further.
Craft your equipment starting from the easiest items. It's highly recommended to prioritize the Fins and Oxygen Tank first to improve your breathing capacity and swimming speed.
Fiber Mesh and Silicone Rubber can be crafted using Creepvine Samples and Creepvine Seed Clusters.
Press the F1 key to open the debug menu, where you can check your current coordinates on the right side of the screen.
Head to coordinates (130, -15, 100) to find a large, tunnel-like cave. It’s easy to spot once you're in the vicinity.
Cave Sulfur cannot be mined from rocks; you must collect it from the nests where Crashfish reside.
Follow the coordinates below to find fragments for the Beacon, Grav Trap, and Compass.
Fragments for the Seamoth (mini-sub) and Laser Cutter are commonly found on the seabed of the Grassy Plateaus (Red Grass area).
You can reach the Grassy Plateaus by heading past the Kelp Forest from your Lifepod. If you have trouble finding it, go to coordinates (133, -75, 386).
The entrance to the Jellyshroom Caves is also nearby. Mark it with a Beacon and search the surrounding area for Seamoth and Laser Cutter fragments.
While the Jellyshroom Caves are rich in resources, the depth makes it dangerous. Ensure you have enough oxygen or save your game frequently while exploring.
